Swannies Golf Apparel is a fairly new startup golf brand located in the Twin Cities. Like any new brand in the apparel world, you need to have an identity of what you are about to attract new customers. With Swannies you need to look no further than the product that started the brand, a golf sandal.
Any person that is wearing a sandal on a golf course quickly lets you know that they aren't part of the stuffy, no fun golf crowd. And that is exactly who Swannies is for. But don't let the pool vibes throw you off, the sandal is made for the course with the soft spikes to rival most any other regular soft spiked shoe.
Since the sandal came out a few years back, Swannies has continued to expand on the rest of their apparel line. They now offer several styles of polos, quarter zip long sleeved shirts, jackets and hats to wear on and off the course. In addition they have a few offerings of t-shirts and hoodies when you are keeping it more casual.
And while a number of other companies have targeted a similar audience in those looking to play golf in a more fun/casual manor (cough millennials cough), Swannies has taken this engagement to the next level. In 2017 they hosted a Swannies Scramble in the Twin Cities. This event included pre-gaming at a brewery, taking a bus to a golf course for a 9 hole scramble with drinking games and returning back to the brewery on the bus. Fun was had by all. In fact so much fun that Swannies is having 16 of these events across the country in 2018, you can find the schedule and sign up for them here. Sadly none of them are in Iowa, but you probably won't be disappointed if you make the trip to Minneapolis, Chicago or any of the other cities for this.
